Sue Allan
Sue Allan is Senior Guide for Pilgrim Tours and has written a trilogy of historical
'Pilgrim' mystery novels -
Mayflower Maid,
Jamestown Woman and Restoration Lady. Sue,
who is now writing her fifth book, is an active committee member of the
Friends of Gainsborough Old Hall, a public speaker on behalf of The
Pilgrim Heritage Trust Charity, and serves in an advisory capacity to
various Pilgrim Father and Jamestown related groups. Sue, a home-based
working mother, also promotes the Pilgrim Fathers' heritage link to
Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, both at home and in the
USA.
Russell Hocking
Russell is the Tours Co-ordinator of Pilgrim Tours. He comes from a mixed
background of Christian missions and journalism, becoming a full member
of The Chartered Institute of Journalists in 2006. Apart from running
Pilgrim
Tours and serving as a guide, Russell is working as a Teaching Assistant
in a Nottinghamshire school and is training as an Assistant Forest School
Practitioner. Russell is married to Shelly, with whom he has a seven-year-old
son. Russell is CRB checked and holds a current ITC First Aid certificate
provided by Adventure Education. Russell was shortlisted for two UK tourist
awards recognising excellence in tourism, culture, leisure and hospitality,
in 2007.
